Dance Macabre

The deep night above
moistened our lips
with its hushed rain
and dipped our wings
in crimson and crazed
purgatory waves
of Heaven’s same

I saw the light
as it showered upon thine eyes
unscathed diamonds
and well up
in the infinity
of thine spirit
wholly devoured
with deformities
of sin
that embellish
the soul

and the embrace
that consumed me
and death, with the living,
an uncanny shudder
as manifested
in thine truest arms
levelled
the spike of my spirit
and jolted my throne
to a waltz

Mêle son ironie
à ton insanité
Et danser
la danse macabre
