It's been a few months since I’ve updated my journal.

I am still here... just not in heart anymore. DA is nothing like what it once was and I am missing that terribly. Its becoming harder and harder to log on. I enjoy seeing the art and still brows thru the galleries of my fav artists and they still inspire me... but the 'community' is dead.

Angels vs Demons was a brilliant failure! Well - as it pertains to DA - it was a failure. That too has caused much heart-ache here.




Although DA is no longer my happy place - there is so much more for me to smile about! I have an awesome job (started late June) and its going wonderfully!!

I am working on my own website to start selling a few of my own prints. Since I work in a print shop I can vouch for the quality and control so much more... but that is for the future.

And for AAALLLL the wonderful changes that DA has gone thru in the last few years - this must be the WORST Disaster. They have "Vista"fied DA. = A Beautiful layout that is completely un-user-friendly (is that a word??)and there are STILL more bugs than a roach motel!! I have NO motivation to even bother to spend the hours its going to take to try FIND, reset and fix what DA has killed.

Ive been on such a buzz the last few days... very busy but also very happy. I logged onto DA only to find amongst all my journals that yet another artist has left DA - this time someone that means the world to me. I am so Upset.

Anyway - there should be at least a dozen more journals of grumpy people leaving DA. Every time DA changes people leave in the droves... DA is not the same place it used to be. But its still my art home. Am just very sad to see some people go.
Anyway...



Yesterday was my birthday - it was fricken awesome!! I got flowers from my boss, my mom, my boyfriend and from my birthday party My workspace looks like a florist shop. I had a fondue with my family and it was just so much fun! I have discovered that I have a serious weakness for strawberries dipped in chocolate!!! OMGosh!

As a prezzie my mom helped me get a new computer screen. Very sexy screen. I’ve also been doing a bit of moving and somehow my computer kinda self destructed - thank goodness my man is an IT genius. He rebuilt my machine and now I basically have a new computer and new screen - how fricken awesome is that!?! (OK - i has to learn how to use VISTA now... can anyone say "MAC rip off"?? How orriginal of Windows)

New screen means I can see ALL the mistakes in my work and I will be spending some time redoing and reworking some pics.
